The brand began as a supermarket chain called The Seiyu Ltd. In December 1980. The product Muji Singapore deals with are good quality products available in cheap rates and are wrapped in clear cellophane, brown paper labels and red texts. The first operational store was opened in 1983. Then the overseas business began in 1985. In 1986, the first factory orders were received. In 1989, Muji was fully developed as a manufacturer and retailer for all Muji products and business and marketing processes.
Muji’s first international store was launched in London in 1991. Then in 1995, Muji shares were registered as OTC shares.
